What brought you to Hymers College?
After doing part of my Teacher Training at Hymers, I instantly fell in love with the place and really wanted to work here. When I got the job I felt very lucky.
What did you do before joining?
I worked for an energy company for 9 years, as well as being a childminder and working for the bathroom company Victoria Plum.
If you had to describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?
Hardworking, loyal and funny!
What frightens you the most?
Walking across bridges!
If you could only have three songs on your iPod, what would they be?
• ‘Songbird’ by Eva Cassidy.
• ‘Allelujah’ by Jeff Buckley.
• ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen.
Who or what makes you laugh?
My son.
Where in the world would you visit and why?
I would visit the Northern Lights as they look spectacular.
What is your favourite film?
‘The Goonies’.
If you could have dinner with anyone past or present, who would it be and why?
Linford Christie, as I was a 100m runner at school and he always inspired me. Plus, we share the same birthday!
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Follow your dreams and never give up.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
A giraffe.
What is your guilty pleasure?
A glass of chilled full fat milk.
