evident in their final match of the season, where they had a convincing win over Bradford Grammar School, after being down in the first quarter to come back fighting and then going on to win. It was the best netball all season and Mrs Powell was very proud of their attitude, commitment and competitive drive. A huge
U16
The U16A team started off their season fantastically with 2 wins; a very tightly fought game ending up with a victory of 38-34 and very dominant performance with a result of 29-3, superb performances from all the players throughout the team. Unfortunately the girls faced
some tough opposition in their next two games and came away with losses. The girls never let their heads go down and always fought to the end, displaying some really great netball and team comradeship.
Player of the season was Alice Jeffers and Most Improved Player of the season was Alexandra Casselden.
U15
The U15A had a strong season with a number of exceptional team performances. The girls really stuck together and showed their strengths and versatility as
a team. We found a new shooter in H Roberts, who had some exceptional performances alongside A Swift and S Krishnan. L De Kok was a starlet in the centre court, with G De Lancey and G Wood. The defensive unit of the team improved throughout the season. S Naiman showed good levels of composure and was well supported by E Hodgins, although the lightning speed in defence often came from C Alabi, who improved throughout the season and literally jumped from strength to strength. Player of the season was L de Kok and most improved player was C Alabi.
The U15B had a large squad this season, which saw
a number of players play a variety of positions. This was always taken in good spirit with high team morale, plenty of competition but also a lot of laughter.
U14
The netball season for the U14A team saw a tough
start after losing their first two fixtures. However, after putting in a vast amount of effort at training the team really started to gel. Going into their next fixtures they filled with confidence and they went on to win the next two fixtures convincingly with some fantastic netball on display, and the girls looked focused and determined
to win. Although they didn’t quite get the results they hoped for as the season went on, this didn’t reflect on the
thank you to Captain H Whitehead, who led her team from the front! Player of the season was A Rajesh and most improved Player was C Ming.
Mrs A Powell
The U16B team struggled a little with consistency of players for fixtures and due to this results didn’t go their way. They never let this discourage them though and turned out for every game with a smile on their faces and a determination to play well. The girls put together some great team performances and consolidated what they had worked on in training sessions. It was nice to see them play together in their final season and enjoy the fixtures, regardless of results. Player of the season was Sunnie Yeats and most improved player was Clarice Noble.
Miss L Whittaker
M Powell and J Butler-Parr scored plenty of goals of the team throughout the season, even though not being true shooters at the start of the season. At the other
end of the court H Wilson-Mason provided exceptional performances week after week, pushing for a place in the A team. H Wilson-Mason’s co-worker in defence was subject to much change but often resulted in H Kraus playing out of position in a defensive role and
she always showed a great attitude and gave strong performances. Captain A Nayyar was fantastic in her role and assisted staff in organising the team each week. She showed high levels of organisation as well as giving good performances on court each week and was a valuable asset to the team.

netball season as a whole, as the girls’ skills and overall development grew from strength to strength throughout the term. I hope this encourages the girls to stay focused and committed going into next years’ season.
Player of the season was C Hodgetts and most improved player was N Davis. Fortunately, due to the vast amount
of B team players attending training, I had a wide range of players to choose from and this was a really lovely position
